It’s always been my intention to explore creative and meaningful ways to provide a voice.
As the Communications Manager at Artspace Projects, I implement strategic communications plans for a diversity of audiences through website updates, email campaigns, social media presence, and direct mailings. this includes amplifying the organization's mission through written and digital narratives detailing qualitative and quantitative impact throughout the national portfolio of projects. I also coordinate closely with consultants and contractors to ensure integrated digital communications infrastructure that includes website, SEO, donation CRM, and GTM.
As the Marketing & Communications Director for Theater Mu—the second-largest Asian American theater company in the nation, I led the organization through a smooth and robust rebranding transition. I’m particularly proud of my work in bringing Mu’s mission and values front and center and integrating it into a bold, fun, and charming voice—one that audiences find unique to any other theater company in the Twin Cities.
Before Theater Mu, I was the Marketing Assistant for CSB/SJU Fine Arts Programming. As the only student employee in the administrative office, I lent my voice on behalf of the student body and collaborated with the staff to program performances and events that brought in new and young audience members. There, too, I created a voice from scratch that spoke to students in the marketing emails that were sent weekly.
In between, I provide direct freelance work and consultations, and I have met with and voiced my opinions and concerns to state legislators about arts funding, transportation, and issues concerning the Asian American community.
Wherever I am, I will continue to provide a voice, amplify the needs of the underserved, guide thought leadership, influence public opinion, and explore new, exciting, and unexpected channels of communication.
